Burnham: More than 100 homes in Southminster 'must benefit village'
Plans to build more than 100 homes at the entrance to Southminster must benefit the village.
This is the view of district councillor Brian Beale, who is pushing to make sure affordable housing in a proposed 117-home development in Southminster benefits local people.
David Wilson Homes developers had outline plans for the estate on a 3.64-hectare site on land off Southfield Way approved in March, but has now applied to Maldon District Council to finalise the finer details.
A design and access statement revealed that the homes will range from one-bedroom apartments to four-bedroom houses.
