Burnham: 'Lets march in front of Parliament to protect our town'
Infuriated Burnham residents suggested marching in front of Parliament to control the 450 houses proposed for the town.
Around 60 people attended a Burnham Town Council public meeting at Ormiston Rivers Academy last Wednesday to discuss the amount of homes planned for the town between 2014 and 2029 in the Maldon District Council’s Local Development Plan (LDP).
They voiced their anger at the number of allocated houses and the suggested development sites and also raised concerns about how the town’s roads would cope.
They urged Burnham town councillors to lobby Maldon District Council, Essex County Council and even the Government to make their voices heard.
