Maylandsea: Tattooist's story about Maldon attracts film-maker's attention
A FILM-maker hopes to transform a crime thriller set in the Maldon district into a movie.
Tattooist Terry Coker, 43, who owns the Cobra Custom Tattoo studio, in Imperial Avenue, Maylandsea, has drawn on his own extraordinary life experiences and those of the people he tattoos to write Affliction, his first novel about a troubled family man who turns to a life of crime.
Now the father-of-two, who hit the big screen last year as a villainous prison gang member who fights Ray Winstone in The Sweeney, called upon his industry contacts for help promoting it.
He said: “He is an independent film-maker and is currently working in New York.
“I got chatting to him about the storyline and he said he would be interested in making it into a professional trailer to get an investment."
