Fifty police officers from across the force descended on Burnham to tackle anti-social behaviour after more than 5,000 people visited the town’s carnival.
Fights erupted after Saturday’s highly successful Burnham Carnival procession and three men have been arrested.
A 23-year-old man from Burnham was arrested on suspicion of assault and has been bailed until November 5, a 19-year-old from South Woodham Ferrers was arrested on suspicion of affray and has been bailed until October 29 and a 21-year-old man from South Woodham Ferrers was detained for a public order offence.
He was then bailed until October 10.
Police officers including special constables also seized alcohol from twenty youngsters, who were found to be drinking underage, and are also appealing for witnesses to a bank card theft.
