South Woodham Ferrers: Mum raises £3,500 from charity head shave
11:00am Thursday 26th September 2013 in Local News
A woman raised more than £3,500 shaving her head for two charities.
Eleanor Lodge, 37, of South Woodham Ferrers, had her hair cut in front of a crowd in the town centre on Saturday.
Her original target was to raise £1,000 for the Friends of Katie fundraising group in aid of Little Havens Hospice and Prostate Cancer UK.
The group was set up following the death of Danbury girl Katie Hart-Greenfield, 15, in 2008.
She was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2006 and was referred to Little Havens Hospice in Thundersley.
