Maldon: Thieves steal red diesel from tractors

Fuel and batteries were stolen from tractors in the Maldon area.
Intruders targeted three tractors at a farm in Mundon Road, Maldon, between 7.30pm on September 10 and 7am the following morning.
Diesel worth £50 was stolen from one tractor, a £150 battery, hydraulic fluid and tubes of grease were taken from a second and £25 worth of diesel was siphoned from the third.
The door locks were all damaged, costing about £150 each to repair.
Red diesel worth £215 was also siphoned from two tractors in Beckingham Road, Great Totham, between 7pm on September 8 and 8am the following morning.
Police are warning farmers in the area to be on their guard and ask any members of the public who see any suspicious activity around farms or industrial premises to call 999.
