Maldon: Town has smallest migrant increase in east of England

Maldon had the smallest increase in its migrant population compared to other towns in the east of England.
Oxford University’s Migration Observatory has released the findings of the first comprehensive analysis of the region’s migrant population.
Maldon district had smallest foreign-born population, with only 2,413 people, and the smallest increase, at 403.
However the east of England as a whole saw a 70% increase in the migrant population over the last decade and had the third highest of the ten regions in England and Wales.
