Maldon: Best paw forward at greyhound rescue centre's fun day
3:00pm Tuesday 10th September 2013 in Local News
There will be something for everyone at this year’s Clarks Farm Greyhound Rescue Fun Day and Dog Show.
Now in its fourth year, the event is the charity’s main fundraiser of the year and money raised goes towards looking after the canine residents of the Little Totham centre.
Volunteer Susan Ward said Sunday’s show is bigger this year, with local businesses and organisations among those manning about 50 stalls.
Kennel Club judges will be presiding over the dog show, with classes for all types of canine, and fun ones too.
For children, there will be games, bouncy castles, an inflatable obstacle course and competitions.
Last year’s fun day and dog show raised about £4,500 after expenses.
The fun day and show is open from 10.30am-5pm. Admission is £1 for adults, free for under-16s.
Dog show entries are £1.50 per class if pre-registered, or £2 on the day.
Clarks Farm is in The Street, Little Totham.
