Burnham: Farmer rescues sheep stuck in mud in North Fambridge
A farmer waded into mud to rescue a stranded sheep.
Warden Nick Robson, who works for the Essex Wildlife Trust at the Blue House Farm nature reserve in Fambridge Road, North Fambridge, pulled a sheep from the mud on Sunday after it was spotted from the river.
The Crouch harbour patrol launch contacted Thames Coastguard at 11.37pm after they saw a sheep stuck close to Bridgemarsh island.
