Maldon: Four-year-old climbs up mountain unaided
An energetic four-year-old has completed an incredible climb up Wales’ highest mountain.
Young Emma Digiorgio, who lives in The Stiles, Heybridge Basin, with mum Helen and dad James, climbed more than 3,000 feet to the summit of Mount Snowdon to raise hundreds of pounds for Leukaemia and Lymphoma research.
The young girl, who is due to start primary school in Tolleshunt D’Arcy in September, walked every step of the way to become one of the youngest children to reach the top unaided.
She embarked on the challenge with her dad, who is the store manager for Wickes in Maldon, and a group of his colleagues from other stores in Essex, including her mum, who works for Wickes in Chelmsford.
