Maldon: Brain tumour patient scales O2 arena
3:00pm Tuesday 27th August 2013 in Local News
A brain tumour survivor has scaled the O2 arena in London to raise money for charity - even though she is terrified of heights.
Pat Tansley, of Staplers Heath, Great Totham, struggled to stand on the first rung of a ladder.
But she faced her fears to climb up and over the O2 to raise money for Brain Tumour UK.
Pat, who is a teaching assistant at St Luke’s Primary School, Tiptree, said: “There were 20 of us and we have raised more than £2,000 which is absolutely fantastic."
