Maldon: UPDATE: Paramedics at horse riding accident
1:01pm Tuesday 20th August 2013 in Local News
Two horse riders have been taken to hospital after an accident this morning.
Paramedics were called to Wycke Hill, Maldon, just before 10am and sent a rapid response vehicle, two ambulances, the Hazardous Area Response Team and Essex Air Ambulance because of the remote location.
Both horse riders were women, believed to be in their 30s.
An ambulance service spokesman said: “One was suffering from neck, back and arm pain and a broken leg, the other was suffering from suspected arm and shoulder injuries.
“One casualty was airlifted to Broomfield Hospital and the other was taken by land ambulance to the same hospital.
“Neither casualty is believed to be in a critical condition."
