6:00pm Saturday 17th August 2013 in Local News
DETECTIVES are hoping to identify two nurses who helped a man after an assault in Heybridge.
The attack, which took place outside the Tesco Express at Bentalls Shopping Centre between 1 and 2pm on July 27, left a 25-year-old local man with a broken jaw after he was punched and kicked in the face.
The male attacker then returned to a Ford Fiesta and drove off.
The victim was taken to Broomfield Hospital by paramedics where he had surgery involving the insertion of three metal plates into his jaw.
Investigating, Officer DC David Moore, said: "We are following a few leads to identify the whereabouts of his attacker.
“However, we are keen to find these two nurses who were fantastic in coming to the aid of this young man.
“They are key witnesses and we would like them to contact us."
The nurses are white and were wearing their blue uniforms. The assailant is described as white and aged in his 20s.
The two nurses or anyone with information in connection with this assault is urged to contact detectives at Chelmsford police station on 101.
