Maldon: Coastguard called to stuck speedboat
9:50am Saturday 17th August 2013 in Local News
Passengers on board a speedboat were yesterday rescued by the Thames Coastguard after it ran aground.
The Coastguard received a 999 call from the owner of an 18ft speedboat which had broken down and run aground just after 9.15pm last night near Osea Island in the river Blackwater.
A South Woodham Coastguard team located the boat and the two people were taken safely ashore by the West Mersea RNLI Lifeboat.
