Maldon: Mum and daughter's Tanzania trek in memory of Jack
A mum and daughter have embarked on a gruelling trek across the Tanzanian Rift Valley in memory of a five-week-old baby.
Sarah Houlding, 46, an administrator, lost her son, Jack, on October 19, 1994, after he was born with a heart defect.
While Jack was in Guy’s Hospital in London, Mrs Houlding and her husband Clive stayed in Ronald McDonald House, which provides accommodation for families of patients in hospitals or hospices.
The pair spent five weeks - how long Jack lived - at the house free of charge.
