Maldon district: Have you seen this stolen clock?

Police are on the look out for a stolen clock in the hope it could lead to burglars.

The Edwardian, walnut-cased farmhouse pendulum wall clock was taken, along with more than 70 items of jewellery and watches, from an address in Runwell Chase, Runwell in February.

The items were together valued at a five-figure sum.

It is believed the clock could have circulated in the Maldon and South Woodham Ferrers area.

Investigating officer DC Martin Amundsen, said: "We want to hear from anyone or any business that might have been offered this very distinctive clock for sale in suspicious circumstances.

"The other items taken by the thieves were mainly small, valuable items of jewellery.

"The Edwardian wall clock is much bulkier. But if we can find it there is a chance that it could lead to the thieves and the other stolen items.”

Anyone who has information about the clock or its whereabouts, or anyone who saw any suspicious activity in Runwell Chase between 6.30pm and 8.45pm on Wednesday February 20, should contact DC Amundsen at Chelmsford CID on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
