Tollesbury: 'We need more police in our village' Tollesbury: 'We need more police in our village'

Villagers have called for an increased police presence after suffering anti-social behaviour issues.


Tollesbury Parish Council will benefit from extra patrols by a local PCSO after glass bottles were smashed in the skate park area and youths have been driving through the cemetery at night.
 

Parish councillor Bill Berry said: “It is a concern and we are as a council trying to handle it.
 

“Without my council hat on, I would like to see more police presence in the village at times when these things happen, which is predominantly in the evenings.”

So expensive police required for at most a couple of minor ASBO issues ; no wonder the police part of our council tax keeps going up. Let's leave the police to deal with major issues and real crime...
