Criminal gangs who cross county borders have been warned they will still be caught with police forces working together more closely than ever.
 

Essex Police is using new software sharing information with other forces, has a joint serious crime directorate with Kent and Nick Alston, police and crime commissioner for the county, is hoping for even closer links with other forces in the future.
 

The importance of co-operation was emphasised last month when a gang of cannabis dealers were jailed for a total of more than 22 years after distributiong drugs around Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex.
