Maldon: Charity launches £50 challenge
Businesses have been set a charity fundraising challenge starting with a crisp £50 note.
Broomfield-based Farleigh Hospice has launched its 2013 £50 Challenge with 50 companies being given the money which they must turn into as much cash as possible in the next 12 weeks.
The firms from Chelmsford, Maldon and Braintree can do anything to raise more money from the £50 note they have been given by the hospice as it is legal.
Witham MP Priti Patel attended the launch event which saw the fundraisers receive their cash.
