Efforts to stamp out dog fouling on Burnham’s street are being stepped up.

Maldon District Council is currently working with Burnham Town Council to come up with a campaign tailored to the town.

Head of the district council’s environment services, Ian Haines recently gave a presentation to the town council in which options to clean up the streets were discussed.

Mr Haines said Burnham could be given priority when it comes to the district council’s “ranger service” and “additional resources over and above the contract”.

To report incidents of dog fouling, call the council on 01621 854477.
