Maldon District: Cars damaged
A stone was dropped from a bridge onto a passing car at 8.35am on February 27, causing £250 worth of damage to the windscreen.
The vehicle, a Vauxhall Astra, was driving under a bridge on the A414 when the incident happened.
The bonnet of a Vauxhall Astra was scratched overnight in West Ley, Burnham. The incident occurred between March 1 and 2 and caused £200 worth of damage to the vehicle.
On the same evening, thugs scratched the door of a Ford Fiesta in Nipsells Chase, Mayland, causing £700 in damage.
Essex police are urging motorists not to leave valuables on show after thieves made off with a handbag after smashing the window of a Volkswagon Polo. The contents of the handbag, which included an iPhone, is valued at £471, while an additional £400 damage was caused to the vehicle.
The incident happened between 7pm and 8.45pm on February 26 on Old London Road in Woodham Walter. It is believed the woman is from Danbury and was visiting someone in the area.
