Maldon: Would you recognise these men?
Sorry Nick and Stuart but we just don't know who you are.
That was the consensus after the Standard showed 50 people in Maldon pictures of various local and countywide leaders, as well as some celebrities and asked them to name as many as they could.
Not a single person was able to recognise Essex Police Commissioner Nick Alston or the MEP for the East of England Stuart Agnew, while Mayor of Maldon, Peter Stilts, was only correctly guessed three times. Essex County Council Leader Peter Martin limped home in second to last place with just two people able to identify him.
