Burnham: Mum's anger as thieves steal her car Burnham: Mum's anger as thieves steal her car

A mum-of-two has called for a heightened police presence and better street lighting after thieves stole her car in Burnham.

Stay-at-home mum Jo Neal, 36, of Leslie Park, visited the Dengie Hundred Sports Centre in Millfields on Wednesday night, when thieves targeted her three-year-old Ford Fiesta Titanium.

Miss Neal was horrified to discover her car, worth around £8,000, had disappeared after she spent two hours at the gym.

She said: “I came out and it wasn’t there, I was thinking where has my car gone?

“I was walking around for ten minutes, I thought I must have parked it somewhere else.

“I am so shocked, I just didn’t think that things like that happen in Burnham.

“I don’t know how they took it, there was no glass there, nothing.”
