Southminster: Mum's plea to find young girls who tried to save cat Southminster: Mum's plea to find young girls who tried to save cat

A mum-of-two would like to praise two young good Samaritans, who found her beloved cat in the street and took it to the vets in a cardigan.

Kim Newman-Clark, of New Moor Crescent in Southminster, said two young girls found her long-haired tortoiseshell cat called Tippy lying in the same street before taking it to Church View vets in Station Road on Saturday afternoon.

The co-ordinator of East London, Essex and Anglia Operation Shoebox said unfortunately the cat, who was the less than a year old, had died but would like to thank the mystery girls who had tried the save it.

She said: “I don’t know the names of the girls so if anybody knows who they are then please get in touch.

“We let Tippy out on Saturday lunchtime but we never saw her again."
