Bradwell: Wind farm turbines to be built
Construction of a wind farm in Bradwell has begun.
RWE Npower Renewables’ ten turbines, to be based at Hockley Farm, are being delivered today.
The turbine’s components will make their way from the A12 to Bradwell under police escort.
The deliveries will take place outside of peak travel times along an agreed route.
Michael Williams, Bradwell Wind Farm Project Manager, said: “We carried out a successful test run last year which proved that the route is suitable for the large vehicles.
“We will have a police escort to ensure the deliveries are made as quickly and safely as possible and we will avoid peak times to minimise disruption."
