Two people were rescued by a Burnham lifeboat after getting lost in the fog in the River Crouch.

A Burnham RNLI inshore lifeboat and an angling boat, named Preditor, searched for the 20 foot angling boat, called Lady Iris, last Sunday around 3.20pm.

The lifeboat located the boat using their direction finding equipment and escorted it to Essex Marina.

The people onboard were given safety advice.
