Maldon and Burnham Standard: Maldon: More home to be energy efficient Maldon: More home to be energy efficient

Even more homes in Maldon could soon be more energy efficient.

The news comes after Moat Property successfully gained almost £40,000 in grant funding from the Energy Saving Trust.

The housing association plans to use the grant to help to finance the second phase of its Air Source Heat Pump project, which helps to improve energy efficiency in “off-grid” homes.

Maldon resident Valerie Foster said: “The new system has absolutely improved our quality of life.
“I don’t know how we managed before.
“We even have to turn it down in the evening because it gets too warm.”
