Excited shoppers have been piling in to Morrisons following its major refurbishment.

The Limebrook Way store in Maldon has been buzzing with a surge in customer numbers since its re-launch last Wednesday.

A seven-figure sum was spent on the transformation, which started in September last year and has seen the store expand by 30%.

Morrisons now has all new counters as well as an additional flower shop and misting beds to keep fruit and vegetables fresher.

Store deputy manager Dave Paris said: “We’ve had an overwhelmingly positive response from customers who love the new feel of the store."
