The parents of a caring man who died suddenly in his home have spoken of their pride at the “overwhelming” amount of people at his funeral.
Former Plume School pupil Marc Wright, 23, was found dead in the bath at his Braintree home by his parents, Angeline and Maurice Wright, after the alarm was raised when no-one could reach him by phone.
He died of a blockage to the brain.
Marc, who grew up in Heybridge and went to Heybridge Primary School, suffered heartbreak when his nephew, Ryan Fleming, was killed killed crossing the A414 in Maldon in January 2011.
Family and friends raised more than £600 in funeral contributions for a bench to be placed in the Heybridge crematorium to commemorate Marc and Ryan.
Maurice Wright, 60, of Cedar Chase, Heybridge, said he couldn’t believe people’s generosity.
