Almost 2,000 homes were plunged into darkness for hours on Monday night after a fault developed in power lines.
Power to homes and businesses in parts of Mayland, Maylandsea, Althorne and Burnham was interrupted at about 6.42pm, causing residents to use torches and candlelight for hours.
Some residents didn’t receive power til after 10pm.
One Mayland resident is now considering asking for compensation, after so many power cuts have affected her home.
