The landlord of a Burnham shop has given residents a 30-day deadline to pick up their belongings.

Hugh Bourn, who is in his 70’s, put up the sign this week, which asks people to pick up items or risk them being destroyed or sent to a charity shop.

Mr Bourn came home from a three-week holiday to find the man who ran Tylers, a secondhand trading shop based in the town’s Station Road, had disappeared.

Manager Shaun, 23, who refused to give his last name to The Standard, shut up shop just before Christmas after only two months of trading.

He left dozens of residents in uproar after they were unable to retrieve their unsold belongings from the shop.
