A buzzing European Sunday market and a park and ride are two proposals put forward for Maldon.
Town councillor Mark Heard is pushing for Maldon District Council to help bring both his ideas to fruition.
Mr Heard believes there is a big enough population in the town to support a Sunday market in the White Horse Lane car park, to the rear of King Edwards Walk.
He is also keen for improved transport links between the town and rail network, and sees a park and ride linking Maldon with North Fambridge and Witham as a way of achieving this.
