Danbury’s gay millionaire dads are to be featured in a new Channel Four documentary on flooding.

Barrie and Tony Drewitt-Barlow’s ordeal in October last year will appear on TV’s “The Year Britain Flooded”, after the pair became trapped in their car in 5ft-deep flood water.

The couple, who run the Maldon-based British Surrogacy Centre, climbed onto the roof of the car before being dramatically rescued by firefighters at 1am.

The couple, whose two month old £70,000 Range Rover Sport was written off during the drama, will also feature in the programme’s trailer.

It will be broadcase on February 12 at 9pm.

WOW! you sound really bothered lol i dont think the guys get the chance to decide what headline each paper is going to say about them not do i think you would risk your life for 15 mins of a C4 documentry lol sounds like you are a bit mift off at them for some other reason lolol
as for the fame thing goes, lets face it, they are the MOST famous gay parents in the UK if not Europe and they are everywhere because they give a positive message for those really interested in their life! I think you will slit your wrists then when you find out they have a new tv show about to come out AND that Barrie is on 4/5 episodes of TOWIE coming up lol

no i wont be watchinng i dont watch TOWIE so i would not know if he is in it or not and not really something i want to watch about flooding,
i dont care if they the most famous DADS in the uk, i dont care that they are gay and its great they can give their kids a good life, but dont need to hear it all the time what they are doing and when they are doing it, there is plenty of other gay parents and they dont flaunt it like they do, thats all i am saying, they are gay they have money and kids, nothing exciting about that, just another family,

This newpaper does appear to have a ridiculous level of interest in the gay dads - I just don't udnerstand why.

They are attention seeking all the time - can't they spend their time focussed on their kids and counting their money?

I for one don't care for their thoughts or opinions on anything.

lolol yet you ALL still read the articles and watch the shows lol it does amaze me really the bad feeling lol im guessing that this paper, like so many others that write about them, do so because of the Ntional interest in them? how many other local people, celebs or not, have in one week appeared on: Sky News, three days in the trott, Breakfast on BBC1, 6pm BBC 1 news, BBC world news, CNN, and many more lol None, so it would be pretty silly of the local paper where these men live to not report on a story with them in it that has been worldwide all week.

I am also sure that your comments about the two guys involved are valid up to a point BUT come on guys, what they ever done to you? they raise their kids, employ lots of local people in various businesses that their companies own AND they are generous benefactors to local causes.

What have you done for your local community recently lol ermmmm lets think!

get off their backs and give them a break, jelousy really is not becoming at all. lolol

jelousy really! i think not far from it, all i am saying is if they wanted to lay low and keep out the papers its can be done but they all ways in it some times for silly things which is what people get annoyed about.i am not on there backs i like L2097 This newpaper does appear to have a ridiculous level of interest in the gay dads - Surly they want to keep things to them selfs. you clearly have ur option and that fine everyone has one mine is just diffrent from urs end of really

i understand what you are saying, BUT, i dont think you are understanding what i am saying lol. What makes you feel the need to critise them or to make the assumption that they want or need to keep things to themselves? how can you campaign for something, like equality, without making a big deal of it and getting millions of people on side?

your opinion that they drove into water and wrecked a 70 grand car just to get in the paper lol really??? come on, be serious. at the end of the day, you have your opinion and i have mine, it does not mean yours are wrong and im right, justt that i can see it from the other side too. I want to be clear when i say, im not overly a fan BUT i will say that they are both GREAT at getting the public behind them to change things for the better, so all i can say is, good on you guys!
