Maldon: Recycler green with envy

A Maldon courier was left shocked and confused when his recycling was not collected for six weeks - yet his neighbours were.

Tim Green, 24, of Milton Road, had no idea why bin men did not collect his plastics for over a month.

Mr Green, who has lived on the road for two years and has never experienced problems before, even discussed not paying his council tax over the situation.

The green canvas bag, which holds the plastics, was full to the brim after weeks of rubbish started to pile up, including litter from over the Christmas period.

Mr Green even began to dispose of plastics through the normal bin, despite wanting to recycle.
