Maldon: Could you change Maldon for the better?

Maldon: Could you change Maldon for the better? Maldon: Could you change Maldon for the better?

DO you have what it takes to improve Maldon for the younger generation?

If so then why not join the Maldon Youth Strategy Group, which gives residents a greater say in building a better Maldon for the future.

The group, which includes adults and young people, also have access to a special fund to develop a new activity within the community.

Vice chairman Reece Bawden, 14, a Plume School student, said: “What first interested me in the group was the opportunity to get more activities for young people to do in Maldon.

“I love sports and play a lot of football so I was keen to get more young people involved in activities like this.

“I think the group is really important because it gives everyone in Maldon a way to put their opinions across and help make the area even better for everyone.”

Councillor Stephen Castle, Cabinet Member for Education and Lifelong Learning said: “I have set up Youth Strategy Groups in each district or borough as I want the local community to have a clear opportunity to advise me on what local young people want and need.”
