Maldon: Fears over children's services move

Vikki Mitchell says believes local parents will lose out because of the Maldon Clinic staff move.
Parents are concerned they may struggle to reach children’s health services following the relocation of staff.
Health experts moved out of the Maldon Centre in Wantz Chase last Wednesday after many years in the same location.
The move has come as a blow to local parents and Maldon Community Pre School, which is based opposite.
Pre-school manager Vikki Mitchell, who is a mum of two, said: “It’s a shame it will be moving because the health visitors could just pop over from across the road."
NHS Mid Essex assistant director of estates John Henry said: "In our efforts to locate similar services in nearby locations, the main health provider, Central Essex Community Services (CECS) has agreed to relocate its staff and clinical sessions to nearby St Peter's Hospital.
"Some of the mental health services that are currently based at St Peter's Hospital will then move to the Maldon Clinic, after refurbishment has taken place."
