Sick pets in Maldon can rest easy once again.
The Edgewood Veterinary Group’s practice has recently re-opened following a £140,000 make-over.
The surgery had been closed for three months while the work took place but it opened its doors once again last month.
The practice now features a purpose-built operating theatre as well as consultation rooms and separate recovery rooms for dogs and cats.
Jürgen Theinert, director of the company, said: “We are delighted to have the new practice open after three months of working in a portable building.”
“The roof of the practice has been replaced with modern pantiles so as to preserve the authenticity of the local area, and the interior walls have been removed in parts and new walls added to utilise the existing space more efficiently. Effectively, it has almost been completely rebuilt.”
