A mother and daughter are hoping to trek their way across the Tanzanian Rift Valley to raise money for charity.

Sarah Houlding, from Tollesbury, lost her five-week-old son Jack on October 19 1994 after he was born with a heart defect.

While Jack was in Guy’s Hospital in London, Mrs Houlding and her husband Clive stayed just round the corner in Ronald McDonald House, which she described as a “real home from home”.
