Burnham: Thieves drive off in pub's bus
A minibus used to drive darts and dominoes teams to competitions has been stolen from a Burnham pub.
A nine-seater blue Ford Transit minibus, index number HN57 XFS, was taken overnight between last Thursday and Friday from The New Welcome Sailor’s car park.
It was worth £10,500.
Landlord Kenny Kerr is appealing for its safe return.
He said on Friday: “I woke up this morning and it wasn’t there.
“The last time it was used was Wednesday evening but but somebody saw it in the car park yesterday afternoon.
“The teams will still go out but we will have to use taxis instead. The taxis aren’t cheap round here.
“It’s just a huge financial inconvenience.”
Anyone with information should contact Maldon Police on 101.
