District: Council tax set to rise
Council tax in the district is set to increase by almost 2%.
The move has been prompted by reductions in government funding along with greater demand for some council services.
The increase, while less than the rate of inflation, will still see a householder with an average Band D property experience a rise of £3.38 in the District Council portion of their annual bill.
