A disabled grandfather has voiced his “disgust” after struggling for months with a hospital’s broken automatic doors.
Peter Sullivan, 63, of Longfellow Road, Maldon, believes the square automatic pad to open the doors at St Peter’s Hospital has been out of order since as long ago as September.
Mr Sullivan, who uses two crutches and is partially sighted, said he had repeatedly complained to hospital staff about the doors.
On Monday, Carin Charlton, director of estates and facilities management, said the door pad was set to be fixed yesterday and Mr Sullivan would be informed once the work had been done.
