Maldon district: Lead thieves target homes
Lead thieves are targeting properties in the Maldon district.
Some £100 worth of lead flashing was stolen from a bay window of a house in Rowan Drive, Heybridge at 2.30am on January 8.
They also damaged a statue to the value of £10.
On the same night £200 worth of lead flashing was stolen from a house in Hall Road in Heybridge.
Police believe the thefts could be linked.
