Maldon District: MP unaware of expenses fall Maldon District: MP unaware of expenses fall

MALDON’s MP has said that he was “unaware” that his expense claims had fallen dramatically in some categories.

From 2010 to 2011, John Whittingdale, left, filed 258 expense claims.

However last year he only filed 94 claims, with some of the most dramatic declines coming in advertising and mileage claims.

I'm almost certain the cash amount hasn't fallen...
Now that he's renting out his London pied de terre, for which he was entitled to claim around £2000 a year. He has taken to renting someone 'unknowns' property and claiming the full £19,000 a year allowance. It's alright though....he hasn't done anything wrong....no really!
