A man has been charged with six offences following a robbery on a train near Prittlewell and an attempted robbery in Southend.
Police were called after a man was robbed of a mobile telephone on a Southend-bound train at about 12.20am on Tuesday.
A woman on the train was also assaulted.
A man was later assaulted at Southend Victoria station and a woman was the victim of an attempted robbery in Grainger Road, Southend.
Daniel Evans, 22, of Brinkworth Close, Hockley has been charged with robbery, assault by beating, attempted robbery, common assault and two counts of possessing a knife in a public.
He was detained in police custody to appear at Southend Magistrates’ Court this morning.
