Maldon: Weather fails to deter charitable rowers Maldon: Weather fails to deter charitable rowers

Hardy rowers refused to let strong winds and heavy rain get the better of them at Saturday’s annual sponsored row.

Despite the conditions, Maldon’s waterfront was a hive of activity, with 35 boats manned by 98 determined rowers making the mad dash up the River Blackwater and raising £8,200 for the RNLI in the process.

The event, hosted by Maldon Little Ship Club and starting at Hythe Quay, was taking place for the 35th time.
