Burnham: Businesses donate rugby kits to school

Burnham businesses have donated a new rugby kit for the town’s school pupils.

Jason Bush of R.A Bush and Scott Spackman of Oben Property Services, both coaches at Burnham Rugby Club, have sponsored the kit for pupils at Ormiston Rivers Academy.

Jason and Scott, both parents of Academy pupils, worked with the PE department on the design after discussing the idea months ago.

The Academy teams have started the year well with the year 11’s currently unbeaten in division 2 of the Mid Essex League and the year 9’s winning their first 2 matches in the Essex Cup group stages.

A spokesperson for the school said: “Everyone involved hopes this will help build on the already strong links between the Academy, local businesses and Burnham Rugby Club.”
