Maldon: Youngsters could win chance to switch on town's Christmas lights
3:00pm Saturday 24th November 2012 in Local News

Children have been urged to show off their creative side for a chance to switch on this year’s Christmas lights in Maldon.
The winner of Maldon Town Council’s design a Christmas lantern competition, which is open to four to 11-year-olds, will turn on the illuminations outside All Saint’s Church, in High Street, on December 1.
All entries must be capable of holding a battery operated tea light. Naked Flame Candles, in High Street, is giving away a limited number of the lights for the competition.
Judging will take place in the court room of Moot Hall at 3pm on December 1, with the winner announced shortly before the switch on an hour later.
Two £10 gift vouchers donated by EKO Toys will also be awarded.
