A Heybridge mum has shaved her locks after a recent cancer scare.
Amanda Holden of Holloway Road underwent checks for bowel cancer at Braintree
Community Hospital this month, and was relieved to have been given the all clear.
However, the “petrifying” thought of cancer prompted her to shave her head in aid of Cancer Research UK.
Mrs Holden, 38, who works in supermarket security and stock control, will also be donating her shoulder-length hair to the cancer charity so it can be made into a wig.
To sponsor her, visit JustGiving and search for Amanda Holden.
