Burnham: Care centre residents treated to slap up meal by pupils
Pupils served up mouthwatering meals as part of a their school’s roast dinner day.
Youngsters at Ormiston Rivers Academy invited members of Knightswood Day
Care Centre, Southminster, to join them for roast pork with all the trimmings.
School hospitality manager Becky Hart said: "It was lovely to see the students
serving members of the local community the food we had prepared with produce
from our local suppliers.
“Hopefully we will be able to do this event again next year."
The event, Food for Life Partnership Roast Dinner Day, was staged to encourage
pupils to eat freshly prepared, locally sourced and seasonal meals.
Ormiston Rivers Academy is a Food for Life school.
