Maldon: High hopes for festive fair as town looks to bounce back from double blow
Festive fair organisers are hoping to put the Christmas sparkle back into Maldon following fears that the town had lost its Yuletide spirit with the loss of two crowd-pulling events.
Residents were concerned the town had lost its Christmas cheer after learning the annual winter carnival will not take place this year.
It follows the loss of the hugely popular Victorian Evenings, which did not take place last year for the first time in almost a quarter of a century.
